I chose these tracks to represent the B Side because the majority of them were produced spontaneously while vibing with whichever artist is listed on each track.
These songs were recorded either in my condo in the Hollywood Hills overlooking Studio City, or in the back of Broken Art Tattoo in Silverlake, Ca.
about the artists:

Chris Young The Rapper- I met this dude because my day job at the time was booking bands. I liked his look, and ambition, and he had a lot of heart on stage. I was only able to record with him for one evening in Silverlake and the 2 songs featured on here are the only ones we ever did together.

SUR- He and I go way back. We were producers/rappers/mixers in the group Ostrich Head. We recorded a project in 2001 in England, and proceeded to enjoy the summer backpacking Western Europe afterwards. He is a perfectionist and a great musical mind who is currently signed and still making great music in 2021.

NoWonder- He and I met in a deli in Monterey California when I took a job there at the age of 17. After hitting it off we would spend close to the next decade recording albums, performing and growing as artists. We started the group Ostrich Head together. When the song Lady Days was recorded, I was no longer in Ostrich Head, but we were still close friends. This song was difficult for him, because he was exploring more melodic tones with his voice and stepping outside of his comfort zone. I think the tune came out great!

Reggie Warlock-Dear friend, constant supporter. We lived in Austin for a time and started a live hip-hop group called Knew Reliks. We performed at various venues and recorded 2 projects together. This track was one of three that I selected which we recorded over a weekend. Reggie is currently a very successful lo-brow street artist who recently left Brooklyn NYC to reside in Ohio.
